Branding {Round 2}

The end of May we traveled to the northern part of the state to help two of my brother-in-law's and their families brand their cattle.

My oldest brother enjoys coming out each spring for his vacation, which he spends most of the time working. But, it's a different kind of work than his job as a painter. I remember playing forts with this boy and working a summer job together. Now I have to look up when I speak to him...

Grandma enjoying the company of the youngest two grand-daughters.

My sweet niece from Washington. We don't get to see her very much and my son keeps asking about her.

This girl.
She spent a week with us once. I wasn't very good at braiding her hair.
To see her work with the adults and growing into the spunky young lady she is makes my eyes a little watery.

One of the toughest 15 year old cowgirls I know.

John Lopez. World famous sculpture. You can view his amazing work here.

Two of our Washington nephews. I don't get to see them work cattle very much due to the long distance away. It was a joy to see them work so hard and serve their South Dakota family.

Working together brings much joy and laughter for our families...most of the time. Wink. Wink.
